About

I was introduced to Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) during the course “Business Intelligence” of my master studies. We used the free Community Version of PDI for a ETL exercise. Later I also used Pentaho intensively for my Master Thesis in 2014. From then on I tried to work with Pentaho right from the start whenever I was dealing with data.

When I’m working on a new transformation, it sometimes happens to me that I have to look at older transformations to see how I have solved something there. Often these are the same things over and over again, as it’s difficult to remember all details by heart. So I decided to start this blog as a documentation.
